ART CLASS DESCRIPTION
Alla Prima is an Italian phrase that means "at first attempt". It refers to a wet-on-wet approach whereby paint is applied to previous layers of still-wet paint in a single sitting. Also, called the direct method of painting. In this workshop, we will learn how to paint in Alla prima and learn how to control & manipulate paint wet on wet. All materials such as brushes, paints, palettes, mediums, smocks, ramekins, easels and clean up supplies will be supplied for this class +3.5 hours of instruction. Oil paints and medium will be used in this workshop. This workshop is hosted by Creative Mentor, Karen Furneaux Suitable for: those with previous Classical/Traditional Oil Painting experience Please Note: Art Start requires at least 3 registrants to proceed with a class/workshop or studio session. Cancellation Policy
Time Frame for Refunds: - Full Refund: Offered if a registrant cancels at least 1-2 weeks before the class starts. - Partial Refund: Offered for cancellations made within 3 days of the class start date (e.g., 80% refund). - No Refund: For cancellations made after the first class has started. Transfer Policy: - Registrants are permitted to transfer to another session or class if they cannot attend, depending on availability.
